José Miguel Mendoza

José Miguel Mendoza leads the corporate litigation practice at Martínez Quintero Mendoza González Laguado & De la Rosa. He has worked on complex corporate matters for over 20 years, spanning roles in public office, academia, and private practice. As a former judge at Colombia’s specialized corporate law court, he presided over hundreds of cases on a wide range of topics including directors’ duties, piercing the veil, enforcement of shareholders’ agreements, board elections and shareholder rights. Additionally, as Colombia top supervisor for public utilities, he revamped state oversight over the energy and water sectors.
