More than 30 business families and next-generation leaders participated in a major two-day gathering in Madrid, which we organized under the leadership of our Family Business and Wealth Management practice, in partnership with J.P. Morgan and Hogan Lovells. Throughout the event, we shared perspectives on various topics, including:

▪️ The importance of diversifying investments and the significant opportunities Madrid offers for this, led by our partner Felipe Quintero.
▪️ Governance instruments, structures, and Next Gen strategies in changing contexts, featuring our partners Andrés González Becerra and José Miguel Mendoza.
▪️The frontiers of corporate governance, featuring our partner José Miguel Mendoza.
▪️ Irrationality in litigation, featuring our partner Sergio Rojas Quiñones.
▪️ Planning and wealth protection tools for the next generation, featuring our partner Andrés González Becerra and our counsel Ana María Ordoñez.
▪️ The future of the family office and the role of the Next Gen, featuring our partner Juan Pablo Amaya. In addition to the high-level discussions, the networking spaces and social activities allowed for strengthening relationships, exchanging experiences, and building valuable connections among the participants.

This meeting reaffirms the importance of our Madrid office, a natural bridge between Colombia and Europe that allows us to closely support our clients' international projects and interests.

Thank you to all the families who were part of this event, to J.P. Morgan for hosting us so generously at their offices over these days, and to Hogan Lovells for joining this initiative. Special recognition goes to our partners who attended this event and to our associate, Irene Espinosa, for her leadership in the coordination and planning of this extraordinary event.
